These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the global.karta.travel online platform (the “Platform”), operated by Travel Tech L.L.C-FZ, a company incorporated in the Meydan Free Zone and having its registered office at Meydan Grandstand, the 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). The Platform facilitates the booking and sale of excursions and tourism experiences (the “Services”) provided by third-party excursion providers (each a “Provider” and collectively, the “Providers”).
By accessing, browsing, or using the Platform, including but not limited to making a booking or payment, you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms incorporate by reference all applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”), including Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2023 on Trading by Modern Technological Means (the “E-Commerce Law”), Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (the “Consumer Protection Law”), Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”), and the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the regulations of the Meydan Free Zone Authority. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and applicable law, the provisions of applicable law shall prevail.
1. Description of the Platform and Services
1.1 The Platform is an online marketplace that connects Users with Providers offering excursions, tours, and related tourism experiences in the UAE and beyond. We act solely as an intermediary and do not provide the excursions ourselves. All bookings are subject to the terms of the relevant Provider, which shall be displayed on the booking page.
1.2 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform or Services at any time, with or without notice, provided such actions comply with the Consumer Protection Law.
1.3 Users must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction to use the Platform. Minors may book only under the supervision of a legal guardian who accepts these Terms.
2. User Accounts
2.1 To book Services, Users must create an account (“Account”) by providing accurate, current, and complete information, including but not limited to name, email address, and contact details. You represent and warrant that all information provided is true, accurate, and up-to-date.
2.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account credentials and for all activities occurring under your Account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We shall not be liable for any loss arising from your failure to comply with this obligation.
2.3 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Account for any breach of these Terms, in accordance with the E-Commerce Law and Consumer Protection Law.
3. Booking Process
3.1 Bookings are made by selecting an excursion, specifying dates, participants, and payment method, and confirming the booking. Upon confirmation, a binding contract is formed between you and the Provider, with us acting as Provider’s agent.
3.2 All excursion descriptions, prices, availability, and terms are provided by Providers and are subject to change. We endeavor to ensure accuracy but disclaim liability for any errors or omissions, save as required by the Consumer Protection Law.
3.3 You agree to provide complete and accurate information for bookings, including participant details and any special requirements. Failure to do so may result in cancellation without refund.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 The Platform offers three payment options for bookings, selected at the time of booking:
(a) Full Payment Online: You pay the full amount via the Platform using accepted payment methods (e.g., credit/debit card, digital wallet). Payment is processed securely in compliance with the PDPL and E-Commerce Law. Upon full payment, the booking is confirmed.
(b) Partial Prepayment Online: You pay a deposit (typically 20-50% of the total amount) via the Platform. The balance is payable directly to the Provider on the day of the excursion in cash, card, or as agreed. The booking is provisional until full payment is received by the Provider.
(c) Full Payment On-Site: No payment is required via the Platform. You pay the full amount directly to the Provider on the day of the excursion. The booking serves as a reservation only, and confirmation is subject to Provider availability and your on-site payment.
4.2 All payments are processed in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise stated. Prices exclude any applicable taxes, fees, or surcharges, which shall be clearly disclosed prior to booking in accordance with the Consumer Protection Law.
4.3 We use third-party payment processors, and you agree to their terms. We are not liable for any payment failures, except as required by law. Refunds, where applicable, shall be processed to the original payment method within 14 days.
4.4 In the event of payment disputes, you agree to resolve them directly with the payment processor or Provider, subject to our mediation if requested.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Cancellations must be made via the Platform or by contacting us in writing at info@travel-tech.tech. All cancellations are subject to the Provider’s policy, displayed at booking, and these Terms.
5.2 Standard Cancellation Terms:
– Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the excursion start time: Full refund (less any administrative fees not exceeding AED 50, as permitted by the Consumer Protection Law).
– Cancellations made 48 hours or less prior to the excursion start time: No refund shall be issued. The full amount paid (if any) is forfeited as liquidated damages to compensate the Provider for non-recoverable costs.
5.3 For partial prepayment or on-site payment options, cancellations follow the same timeline, but refunds apply only to amounts paid via the Platform.
5.4 No refunds for no-shows, late arrivals, or changes in participant numbers. Force majeure events (e.g., weather, government restrictions) may allow rescheduling or partial refunds at the Provider’s discretion, in compliance with UAE tourism regulations.
5.5 We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, providing a full refund or alternative date. You waive any claims for consequential damages.
6. Provider Obligations and User Responsibilities
6.1 Providers warrant that excursions comply with UAE health, safety, and tourism standards, including those issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) in Dubai.
6.2 As User, you agree to:
(a) Comply with all applicable laws, including UAE visa and entry requirements;
(b) Arrive on time with required documentation (e.g., ID, health declarations);
(c) Follow Provider instructions and safety protocols;
(d) Indemnify us and Providers against any claims arising from your negligence or breach.
6.3 We are not liable for Provider non-performance, except to facilitate resolution under the Consumer Protection Law.
7. Health, Safety and Participant Requirements
7.1 You represent and warrant that all participants in the booked excursion are physically and medically fit to undertake the activity. You shall disclose, at the time of booking, any pre-existing medical conditions, disabilities, pregnancy, or other circumstances that may affect participation or safety.
7.2 The Provider reserves the right to refuse participation, without refund, to any individual whose condition poses a risk to themselves, other participants, or the conduct of the excursion, in compliance with Dubai Law No. 24/2018 on Public Health and DET Safety Standards.
7.3 You acknowledge that certain excursions involve inherent risks (including but not limited to extreme temperatures, physical exertion, wildlife, or water-based activities). Participation is at your own risk. You agree to follow all safety instructions issued by the Provider.
7.4 It is your responsibility to ensure all participants have valid travel and medical insurance covering emergency evacuation, hospitalization, and activity-related injuries. The Company and Providers shall not be liable for medical expenses incurred.
7.5 By confirming a booking, you electronically execute a waiver and release of liability in favor of the Company and the Provider, to the fullest extent permitted by UAE law.
8. Force Majeure and Excursion-Specific Risks
8.1 Neither the Company nor the Provider shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms where such failure arises from a Force Majeure Event, defined as any event beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, epidemics, pandemics, government restrictions, adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, or transport strikes.
8.2 In the event of a Force Majeure Event preventing the excursion, the Provider may, at its discretion:
(a) reschedule the excursion to a mutually agreed date; or
(b) issue a full or partial refund (less non-recoverable costs), in accordance with Article 273 of Federal Law No. 5/1985 (Civil Code).
8.3 No compensation shall be payable for consequential losses, including travel, accommodation, or lost wages.
8.4 You acknowledge that desert, marine, and adventure excursions are subject to environmental risks (e.g., sandstorms, high seas, heatstroke). The Company and Provider shall not be liable for cancellations or modifications due to such conditions, provided reasonable safety protocols are followed.
9. Third-Party Providers – Agency Disclosure and Limitation of Liability
9.1 The Company operates the Platform solely as an intermediary agent facilitating bookings between you and independent third-party Providers. Each Provider is the principal responsible for delivering the excursion.
9.2 The Company does not own, operate, or control the excursions, vehicles, equipment, or personnel used by Providers. Accordingly, the Company shall not be liable for:
(a) any act, omission, negligence, or breach by the Provider;
(b) personal injury, death, property damage, or loss arising during the excursion; or
(c) failure of the Provider to comply with its advertised terms.
9.3 All Providers listed on the Platform must hold a valid tour operator license or equivalent license. The Company conducts initial due diligence but does not guarantee ongoing compliance.
9.4 You agree to pursue any claims relating to excursion performance directly against the Provider, subject to the Company’s mediation assistance upon written request.
10. Reviews, Ratings and User-Generated Content
10.1 You may submit reviews, ratings, photos, or videos (“User Content”) following completion of a booked excursion.
10.2 By submitting User Content, you grant the Company a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, display, and distribute such content for marketing, operational, or analytical purposes.

11.3 Vouchers expire on the date indicated. No extensions shall be granted except in cases of Platform error.
11.4 Use of Vouchers is subject to availability and Provider acceptance. The Company is not liable if a Provider refuses a valid Voucher due to operational constraints.
11.5 Lost or stolen Vouchers will not be replaced.
12. Intellectual Property of Providers
12.1 All photographs, videos, descriptions, and branding related to an excursion (“Provider IP”) remain the exclusive property of the Provider or its licensors, protected under Federal Law No. 38/2021 on Copyright and Related Rights.

13. Dispute Resolution with Providers
13.1 In the event of a dispute arising from the delivery of an excursion, you agree to first notify the Company in writing within 48 hours of the incident. The Company shall facilitate mediation between you and the Provider.
13.2 If mediation fails, you may escalate the matter to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DETDubai Law No. 6/2012 concerning Consumer Protection and Executive Council Resolution No. 31/2013) via the official consumer complaint portal.

14.3 Failure to provide requested documentation may result in suspension of the booking or Account, and reporting to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of the UAE Central Bank in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 20/2018.
15. Language and Governing Version
15.1 These Terms and Conditions are drafted in English as the primary language of the Platform. An Arabic translation may be provided for reference and user convenience.
15.2 In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Arabic versions, the English version shall prevail as the original and governing version for interpretation on the Platform. In legal proceedings before UAE courts, a certified Arabic translation may be requested by the court, but the English version remains binding unless the parties explicitly agree otherwise in writing.
15.3 Contracts between the Company and Providers may be executed in the English language. Where required (for instance, for the purpose of registration with UAE governmental authorities), an Arabic version shall be provided, provided that the English version shall remain the governing and authoritative version.
